Ben Reid is a Canterbury based original printmaker. He brings together a myriad of references that draw attention to the complexity of our relationship with the natural world that has been both exploitative and beneficial to humanity. Ben recognises there are no easy solutions, yet his images retain a faith in the redemption of this relationship with nature.
Ben is a graduate of Christchurch Polytechnic’s Visual Arts degree course and past assistant to master printmaker Marian Maguire at PG gallery 192.
Ben is a full-time practicing artist and has exhibited on a regular basis throughout New Zealand since 2005.
