With a career spanning over twenty-five years, Barbara Franklet has dabbled in almost every medium and experimented with many styles.
Whether she is creating joyous illustrations or icon driven abstracts, she is driven by a love of good design and composition. Barbara has always loved collage in her work – where she feels that random bits and found scribbles add an uninhibited richness. These latest mixed media pieces combine all her interests – abstraction, illustration, and collage plus a bit of fun. They begin very raw and unplanned. Like a mystery, after many layers a story unfolds. Barbara’s work hangs throughout the world.
You can find her most days happily working at Mockingbird Studio in sunny Nelson!
